I am a single woman. A single woman with a beautiful career, a calling, purpose, and passion deep in my bones. I live my life with vibrancy and pour my heart and soul into everything I do. Anything I put my hands to, I do it with excellence because I am the daughter of Chuck Coggins. People notice.
When a woman is intelligent, multi-talented, with a robust career and beautiful life, a sneaky lie can creep in. I know I am not the only woman who hears this whisper in her ear. I know I am not the first woman who has felt this way. Maybe someone even told us so…
“You are TOO much.”
And the moment we start to believe this whisper, it makes us want to pull back, dim ourselves to make others more comfortable, or just “fit” in. But here is the thing…
YOU ARE TOO MUCH!
When a woman has much to give and offer the world, she needs a container big enough to hold her. She needs a place big enough to receive all she has inside her.
Often, environments, jobs, relationships, or men are not ready for what we have to give.
Consider a small container that can only hold 8 ounces, but you have 16 ounces to pour out. Consider planting a Cherry Tree in a small pot. What will happen? It will never bloom, it will never produce, it will never do what it was created to do.
For all my amazing women out there looking for a place to bloom and grow. I want you to hear me. You are too much. That is actually an amazing thing.
You need to choose a man who either has the capacity to “hold you” right now, or a man who is growing and expanding to be able to protect and hold and be a safe, right-sized place for you to bloom and grow. If you are feeling like you are “too much” for someone, YOU ARE!
If you are in a job and you feel like you are shriveling up and cannot break through the ceiling, or are being stifled. You are TOO much! You have TOO much to give! There is a place that is bigger. There is a place ready for ALL of you! A place where you can continue to grow, thrive, and fly.
If you are in a friendship and you feel you have to try to make yourself “normal” or dim yourself to make others comfortable. Limit your time here. You need to be around people who are not afraid of your glow. Girl, YOU shine bright.
This is dedicated to all the women out there who have ever felt like or been told you are “too much.” You are! The father of Light has poured beauty, greatness, talent, love, and purpose into every fiber of your being. You MUST be YOU. You must.
Don’t apologize, you ARE just the right SIZE!
