Do you ever feel like you are always waiting? Waiting for the promotion, waiting until you can make “this” much money. Waiting on love. Waiting for your husband. Waiting for the woman of your dreams. Waiting on that career that will fulfill you. Waiting for your kids to turn their lives around. Waiting to feel better. Waiting for a health report to come back. Waiting on a diagnosis. Waiting on a custody hearing. Waiting for the grief to pass.
I remember one time realizing this for myself. I remember feeling like I was always waiting.
Waiting for The Priceless Project to “become” all I envisioned it to be. Waiting for my job to recognize all I have to offer and promote me. Waiting on love. Waiting, hoping for that place of health and peace.
And we might have these passing thoughts, “When I get this, or that, THEN, I will be fulfilled.” Or “THEN I will be HAPPY.” Or “THEN, I will be at peace.” And I want to pop your bubble and give you a big spoonful of reality.
There is NO THEN.
There is only NOW.
This is all you have, right NOW. So if you are waiting on THEN. You will absolutely never find it, because it does not exist. “Then” is always a figment of the imagination. Because once “it” comes, you are in NOW, and NOW is the only thing that is real.
Learning how to live in the NOW. How to live in the TODAY. The day that was given to you. Learning how to come and dine at the table set before you TODAY. Is the secret. It is the gift, it is the place of peace, joy, and fulfillment we are all desiring.
Learning how to be thankful NOW, not thankful THEN. IS the WAY.
Here is why: purpose and fulfillment is an internal job.
It comes from a soul that has done the work of gratitude, of understanding your purpose and calling, your unique contribution and place in this moment in history, and you settle in, you breathe, and you realize that the gift of life TODAY is all you have. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, so I will find JOY now, I will find LOVE and Be LOVE, NOW. I will be grateful NOW. I will LIVE NOW, not later.
And when you live this way, you WILL be FREE.
The aching, longing, gluttonous appetite that wants more, and craves more, and more and more and won’t ever be satisfied in the cavities of your mind, can be quieted at the table of TODAY.
When we take the bread, break it, bless it, share it, and partake of our manna for today, we can find the mystery of the message of The Christ who said, “I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me will never go hungry” (John 6:35).
The table is set, you are invited to come and eat. But you can’t come tomorrow, don’t wait, you can only come now. I will see you there at the feast, at the banqueting table of TODAY.

Yours,
